Dear FOGSIANS,

I had the privilege of being the Treasurer of FOGSI for 3 years from 2009 till 2012. I became the Deputy Secretary General of FOGSI in January 2012, in the Holy city of Varanasi. This post is for 3 years starting from 2012 till 2014. One of the major responsibilities that come with this post is the additional charge to nurture and promote the FOGSI web site. My predecessor Dr Nozer Sheriar (Secretary General) has done a commendable job of and has made my life easier. I am sure that I can expect major support from him, Dr PK Shah (President FOGSI),
Dr A K Debdas (Chairman ICOG), Dr C N Purandare (editor JOGI) and all other Managing Committee members.

Being a person  who believes in continuity , I will strive not to change the character of this popular website. I am planning to enhance the inter activeness of the web site by having Facebook, you tube, twitter and blog  accounts. Our facebook site FOGSIfriends is already open. I would like to request you to promptly become members of this site.

I will also add a Vendors section which will enable our members to select equipment, disposables and various other items which they may need in their day to day practice.

I would like to invite any member of FOGSI to contribute an article or a case to the web site. The article should not be more than two A 4 size pages.

We will be also starting a new section called “letters to the web-Editor“. The best letter will be awarded a prize.

Another age old popular concept of “Make the correct Diagnosis “will be added to the web site.

If you have any suggestions, I will welcome them “virtually” with open mind and open arms….
