The 65th AICOG was held between 4th and 8th Jan 2023 at Kolkata organised by the Bengal Obstetric and Gynaecological Society. The venue of the conference was Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan and the conference hotels were the ITC Sonar and Royal Bengal. More than 7200 delegates and 2100 accompanying persons attended the conference.

On 4th January, we had 15 parallel workshops (four transmitted live from Kolkata and other cities of India). At the same time, we had the Managing Committee Meeting at ITC Sonar. The Managing Committee dinner in the evening was held at ITC Sonar where FOGSI talent was on display and luminaries of the East Zone were felicitated.

On 5th January, we started with the flag hoisting ceremony and followed up by the C G Saraiya CME which was held at the Swami Vivekananda Hall. After the CME, President Dr Pai felicitated the champions of the Suprava Ganga Yatra. The FOGSI committee workshops including the JOGI-PICSEP seminar was held in the afternoon. At the inauguration ceremony in the evening, we had Dr Jeanne Conry, President FIGO as the Chief Guest. Ms Mary Kom and Ms Vidya Balan were the guest of honours for the evening.

On the same day evening amidst some dance performances, President joined with the Org Committee to felicitate the past presidents of FOGSI.

Between 6th to 8th Jan we had scientific sessions in one plenary hall and ten regular halls. The halls were named after national luminaries from Bengal and the external fascia of the halls had their contributions highlighted. We had the three pre-lunch orations delivered by Dr Anne Beatrice Kihara, Dr Alpesh Gandhi and Dr S Shantha Kumari. The ICOG C L Jhaveri Symposium was held on the 6th Jan and the ICOG Convocation was held on 7th Jan at the ITC Sonar.

On the 6th Jan and 7th Jan evenings we had cultural functions at the P C Chandra Gardens less than a km from the conference hotel. On the 6th evening we had Pritam performing with his troupe and for the next day was Voice and Trumpets belting out the R D Barman magic.

At the valedictory on 8th Jan we handed over the FOGSI Flag to Hyderabad who would be conducting AICOG 2024. Individual Prizes were also handed over at the valedictory and many delegates gave their feedback on the conference.
