President

The President serves as the executive head of the Federation and presides at all General Body and Managing Committee meetings of FOGSI and the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Besides this the President, FOGSI serves as the President of the Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and will preside over the meetings of the College.

The President is elected a year ahead, serves a year as President Elect and is in office as President for one year.

The President is responsible for setting direction, planning activities and selecting a theme during the year in office. The President along with the Secretary General is responsible for administrative issues and strategic planning.

Vice Presidents

The Five Vice Presidents work with the President to serve FOGSI. In the event of his absence or justifiable unwillingness to preside any one of the Vice Presidents shall be selected to preside by drawing lots.

The Vice Presidents are elected a year ahead and are in office as Vice President for one year.

The Vice Presidents support and assist the activities and theme selected by the President. They are also responsible for supporting and guiding the member societies and committees that have been alloted for engagement by them.

Secretary General

The Secretary General is the administrative head of the federation and is responsible for the day to day administration of the Federation and the management of the FOGSI office. The Secretary General shall work with the President to assist in the conduct of all General Body and Managing Committee meetings of FOGSI.

The Secretary General is elected from the place of the Registered Office of FOGSI and serves in this post for a maximum of three year terms.

Deputy Secretary General

The Deputy Secretary General will work with the Secretary General to serve FOGSI. In the event of the Secretary General being unable to carry out formal responsibilities the Deputy Secretary General shall step in to discharge these responsibilities.

The Deputy Secretary General is elected from the place of the Registered Office of FOGSI and serves in this post for a maximum of three year terms. The Deputy Secretary General serves as the FOGSI Website Coordinator and will be responsible for the management of the Federation’s website.

Joint Secretary

The Joint Secretary is a nominated appointee of the President, FOGSI.

The Joint Secretary serves FOGSI under the supervision of the President and the Secretary General and is responsible for assisting the implementation of the Federation’s  activities undertaken by the President during the year.

The Joint Secretary is nominated by the President Elect and serves a year in the post. In the absence of the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General, the Joint Secretary shall look after the work of the Secretary General.

Treasurer

The Treasurer serves FOGSI under the supervision of the President and the Secretary General to shall manage the financial affairs of the federation. The Treasurer is responsible for receiving funds, making payments, maintaining bank accounts and presenting the audited balance sheet and accounts to the General Body and Managing Committee meetings of FOGSI.

The Treasurer is also responsible for the implementation of the Federation’s Administrative Guidelines as approved by the Managing Committee and the General Body, from time to time.

The Treasurer is elected from the place of the Registered Office of FOGSI and serves in this post for a maximum of three year terms.

Joint Treasurer

The Joint Treasurer shall work under the supervision of the President, the Secretary General and the Treasurer and will be responsible for assisting in the management of accounts and the implementation of the administrative guidelines of FOGSI.
