The FOGSI Funference – Adolescent Health
FOGSI Funference was led by Dr Rishma Pai, Past President FOGSI and Dr Sampath Kumari, Vice President FOGSI and others, in the schools of the mesmerizing islands of Andaman and Nicobar from 19th to 22nd January 2023. The theme of the conference was Adolescent Health and Menstrual Hygiene. The meet had different scientific sessions and school counselling programs covering different adolescent problems. Adolescent population makes about 23% of total world population. FOGSI has been taking many initiatives to cater to this vital group. Women’s health is critical to the growth of the nation and hence many a program on the health of adolescents to post- menopausal women have been devised and run successfully.
The conference had extensive scientific sessions covering every aspect of Adolescent health and adolescent problems. In addition to scientific sessions, Adolescent School Counselling sessions was done in 2 government schools. This was followed by some fun and entertainment programs for the faculty and other participants which included water games & local sight-seeing.
