Dear colleagues

As I am sure all of those of you who were able to attend will agree, the XX FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics held in Rome in October 2012 was an outstanding success.

We welcomed over seven thousand delegates from one hundred and sixty three territories to Italy along with a large number of accompanying persons, whilst well over one hundred organisations were represented in the Exhibit Hall.

We are already busily planning for the XXI FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which will take place in Vancouver, Canada from 4th to 9th October 2015 and we will, of course, keep you updated on our plans as these progress. In the meantime, perhaps you would be kind enough to bear these dates in mind when planning your own society's national and regional conferences and avoid scheduling them on or immediately prior to these dates so that any potential clashes are avoided.

I very much hope that you and your society's members will be able to join us in Vancouver in 2015 for what I am sure will be a Congress of the highest quality.
